Question: As Muslims we do not celebrate Christmas and so on but what if we cook turkey and smoked chicken and so on in our home just not to partake when our christian friends invite us, is that ok? And cooking that kind of food on Christmas day, does it mean that we are celebrating it also?

Answer: There is no prohibition for you to cook these dishes on the day of Christmas. This is permissible for you. In fact, you can cook anything you like on any day, once it is halal. The preparations of such dishes on the Christmas day does not mean that you are celebrating Christmas. The most important thing is that you should be clear in your mind that you do not have such intentions through your actions.
