Questions and Answers
Having an aqeeqa after accepting Islam

Question: Can a person who accepts Islam have an aqeeqa? Or is there anything like this practice for someone who accepted islam?

Answer: Yes, a person who accepted Islam can have an aqeeqa. However, it must be understood that the time which has been made specific for this act has already passed, which is the 7th, 14th, or 21st day of the new born baby. Instead of this, it will be more rewarding for you to give your money in sadaqa (charity) to the poor and needy. This will bring about a tremendous amount of blessings to you.

And Allah knows best.
