Question: Are muslims allowed to celebrate/participate in birthdays and anniversaries?

Answer: Birthday parties and anniversaries which are normally celebrated are all from among the customs and practices of the non Muslims. As Muslims, we are not allowed to follow them in their ways and trends. Hence it would not be allowed for Muslims to celebrate and participate in these parties and anniversaries.
