Sacrificing animals for Aqeeqa

Question: Regarding Aqeeqa for a male person, it is said that you have to sacrifice two animals. I was advised that if you cannot afford to do this because of your financial situation, it is permissible to sacrifice one animal. Could you elaborate on this matter please.

Answer: Yes, if a person does not have the means to sacrifice two goats or sheep for the Aqeeqa of a boy child, then it is permissible to do it with one of those animals.
