References to Prophet Muhammad (saw)

Question: In Islam I hear much reference made to Muhammad (pbuh) but sometimes it seems as though the other prophets don't exist because I have not heard any reference made to them or their way of life or sayings. Is it wrong to conclude from this that muslims disregard the other prophets' ways of life because it's only Muhammed (pbuh) that came for the people and Jesus came for the "lost sheep of Israel"? I just wanted to know if the same respect is given to ALL prophets like Muhammed (pbuh).

Another question I have is, was Muhammed mentioned in the bible?

Answer: It would be wrong to conclude that by speaking about the Prophet Muhammad, that Muslims show disregard to other prophets. Muslims believe in all other prophets and they also believe in the scriptures that they received from Allah. However, with the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s) being the final Prophet, it has been made compulsory upon us to follow him alone. His teachings have abrogated the teachings of other prophets and the final revelation of the Holy Quran has abrogated the other scriptures. As such, Muslims must follow the final Prophet in all the different aspects of their lives and take him as their guide and model.

As for the other question: Yes, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s) has been mentioned in the bible as well as other previous scriptures.

And Allah knows best.
