Chatting online with the opposite sexes

Question: On that topic of hi5 and myspace, how should muslims regard these sites in general? Clearly they may be disliked at least, but so many of us are stuck there and seem to deny the facts. And what about the matter of chatting online, etc. specifically between the opposite sexes?

Answer: These sites are not permissible for Muslims to get connected to. The matter of chatting with the opposite sexes is also not permissible. You should make a strong effort to get out of this. It is about doing that which is right.
